I've spent most of this working week with the interactive map moving across France, its a wonderful way of knowing where you are. The altitudes looked troublesome today - hope you are all relaxing in preparation for mountains tomorrow. Now you are all speaking French like natives it must be time for Spanish, or Catalan! Love to all, Kate

Sounds like a great trip all round. Whats this reference to the Pyrinees - I understood this is what lies below a Scotsman's kilt! I know it's an old joke but it's my birthday today and so feeling a bit silly. Thanks for the birthday present. All the best for the rest of the trip. Lots of Love A. Maggie

Hey Chris & Co,
We've been spending our hours in the field office wisely tracking your progress. Sounds & looks awesome! Good luck with Day 6 & 7, but as you are all made of steel I'm sure you will all be fine. Well done & enjoy! :)

Delighted to see that your journal and pictures are now up-and-running. Enjoying your vivid descriptions of weather and landscapes.
Don't forget to EAT the bananas before using the skins. As you know, they're high in potassium and natural sugars which are released slowly into the bloodstream to give sustained delivery of energy. However, I read they cause intestinal wind if unripe, which could be something of a mixed blessing!........

Haven't checked the map yet, just hoping for a bit of news..glad to hear via Mum Martin that you have been progressing OK so far. Try banana skins if things are getting painful...recommended by CTC

Obviously, after riding uphill for 180km, the effort of posting a picture or some news would have been the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm not surprised. Memo to self: I must get someone who rows across oceans in their spare time to organise my next holiday! Well done everyone - TDF next year?
